New Camera!

After many times of trying to borrow a camera from stores then finding that they are all out, going back the following week even earlier to be first in line yet still to be told that there isn't any available and with shoots that I need to do, I ended up looking around on various sites (Ebay, Photography Forums) to try and locate a decent, but without being really expensive medium format camera.

Lomography; Diana 120 medium format Camera

At first I did think about using one of the  popular Lomography cameras, which come in a variety of styles and settings.
These are medium format cameras and use 120 roll film, they also come in 35mm film too.

Zenza Bronica ETRS
After many weeks looking around I found a camera that suited my needs, sort of, but was within my price range, but unfortunately It didn't arrive (was brought from Ebay) and so the searched continued...

I was then contacted by a guy from a Photography Forum who was selling this camera; Zenza Bronica ETRS for a little more than I was intending on spending but as I need this for my projects I brought it.
It comes with a standard 75mm Lens, Prism, a speed winder, and Lunalite light meter.

Zenza Bronica ETRS
As this current project has to be in black and white, I will be using this with black and white film and intend on making full use of my new purchase, I will most likely get a few things wrong, for example not making sure that the lever for single and multiple exposure is in the correct place, but having said that that could lead to exciting and interesting images.

I've never really taken much notice of this style cameras but as I now own my own one I will be reading up on the model and learning how to get the best out of one.

After having the time to have a little play with my new toy, i'm getting used to the controls, holding it by hand steady and using a very old light meter, but its teaching me to correctly expose an image... we shall see how that turns out when it comes to print time!

I have the metered Prism with this camera, seen in the images, after changing the batter the light meter works perfectly but one thing has got me the Diopters, they have come with +1.50 as standard from what I have found out after trawling through articles and online forums. My own Eyesight is -1.50 and -1.25 so as I look through and try to focus I am finding that I think that I have a sharp focus but its still blurred the same blurriness when I'm not wearing Glasses or my Contact Lenses.
I will have to look into this more as I think I may need to obtain a different strength Diopter. They come in  -4.50 -3.50 -2.50 -0.5 +0.5 and +1.50 they are said to be others.

Mamiya RZ67 Pro 11

I Would love to own my very own one, a Mamiya RZ67 but these are a little too pricey at present but I hope to be able to get one in the not to distant future!
