Lomography; Diana 120 medium format Camera |
At first I did think about using one of the popular Lomography cameras, which come in a variety of styles and settings.
These are medium format cameras and use 120 roll film, they also come in 35mm film too.

I was then contacted by a guy from a Photography Forum who was selling this camera; Zenza Bronica ETRS for a little more than I was intending on spending but as I need this for my projects I brought it.
It comes with a standard 75mm Lens, Prism, a speed winder, and Lunalite light meter.

I've never really taken much notice of this style cameras but as I now own my own one I will be reading up on the model and learning how to get the best out of one.
After having the time to have a little play with my new toy, i'm getting used to the controls, holding it by hand steady and using a very old light meter, but its teaching me to correctly expose an image... we shall see how that turns out when it comes to print time!
I have the metered Prism with this camera, seen in the images, after changing the batter the light meter works perfectly but one thing has got me the Diopters, they have come with +1.50 as standard from what I have found out after trawling through articles and online forums. My own Eyesight is -1.50 and -1.25 so as I look through and try to focus I am finding that I think that I have a sharp focus but its still blurred the same blurriness when I'm not wearing Glasses or my Contact Lenses.
I will have to look into this more as I think I may need to obtain a different strength Diopter. They come in -4.50 -3.50 -2.50 -0.5 +0.5 and +1.50 they are said to be others.
