Urban Space.......

Thomas Struth.

This is from Stuth's Catalogue of his early works.
The image is of Shinju-ku area of Tokyo and shows how tight the space is but also how its connected to one another, tele-communication lines, power lines dominate the foreground of this image whilst the background is dominated by apartment buildings.

Lewis Baltz Element no.27

This is an unfinished building site, It's particularly striking in that it has strong vertical, and horizontal lines with only two Diagonals.

The open door has suggestions of human interaction, wether that be from a short of long time period there isn't any clues.

Eva Bersnyo
Starnberger Street  1931

Shot from above, this image show the street below, from the image it shows a clean maintained street, few pedestrians and only one motor car of that period.
The image shows urban space as you have roads, paths an a business all in one image.

After looking and studying these images it's given me more of an idea on what I want my triptych to be about and how best to show the concept of urban space.
