These are the three images we are given to choose one from, at the minute I am torn between two, Lee Friedlander and Brassai. I have a possible location for the latter although not sure that I will be able to accomplish this task but will try my best as i've not yet done night time photography using a analogue/film camera, this being the case I will have to research more into this genre to obtain the best possible exposure and get a printable image from the exposure.
Lee Friedlander, ‘Albuquerque, New Mexico’, 1972
Brassai, ‘Paris after Dark, No.27’, 1933
Thomas Struth, ’Bukseo Dong, Pyongyang, North Korea’, 2007
Possible Location for Brassai
Mermaid Street, Rye East Sussex
This is one of the locations that I thought about when I was first shown the Brassai image, It has the cobbled streets but, this image comes across more welcoming and a warm place to be, the Brassai image on the other hand is almost the opposite, it feels like a place you wouldn't want to go after dark, I will try a few test shots here changing camera angle but trying to keep within the images range and with it being black and white it will give it a whole new feeling and emotion.
