Fashion: Constructed Image. Task 1

We were assigned to find what we thought to be a 'Iconic' Fashion image.
After watching a couple of recent documentaries on David Bailey I thought I would use one of his images as to me they do stand out from others that I researched. Rankin for example has a strong collection of what would be suitable for this task but I wanted to use something that was a strong example of an Iconic fashion image.

The image is of a model, Jean Shrimpton. Standing in an un lady like legs apart looking straight at the camera holding a Childs Teddy Bear.

The way that Bailey has shot this is from a distance, (the other side of the Road) has then been able to include text above the Jean Shrimpton various other texts on signs and a Man mid stride almost symmetrical to that of Jean Shirmpton.

The narrative is suggestive, a Girl becoming a Women going out into the city, although maybe not quite ready to let go of her childhood or her youth hence the Bear.
